On the 15th of September 2020, under the Environmental Conservation Areas Law, a public consultation was held to present the proposal to create the Partial Natural Reserve of Cumbira. This proposed area meets the recommendations of Aichi and a set of national goals for the identification of areas that are not yet covered by the National System of Conservation Areas.
